چکیده

In this paper we focus on nonlinear systems composed by a linear term plus nonlinearity satisfying monotonic or sector bound condition. We present sufficient conditions based LMIs for the design of feedback control law possessing an infinite gain margin property that makes closed-loop system to define contraction. Then, analyze connection between contractive feedbacks and optimization problems showing how such minimizes given cost function. A practical case study is illustrate our results.

A High Gain Observer based LMI Approach

This paper deals with the observability analysis and the observer synthesis of a class of nonlinear systems. The observer that we consider has a constant gain and concerns a class of uniformly observable systems. A sufficient condition permitting to design such a constant gain observer is given. The calculation of this gain is based on LMI technics.Copyright c © 2008 IFAC

An LMI Design of an Observer Based Fuzzy PSS

Power systems are highly nonlinear systems that exhibit undesirable oscillations following disturbances. Power system stabilizers (PSS) are usually incorporated to provide auxiliary excitation signals to damp these oscillations. Our objective is to improve the PSS performance via the use of fuzzy logic and LMI techniques. A power system is viewed as a polytopic model that can be adequately repr...

Robust PI Controller Design Satisfying Gain and Phase Margin Constraints

This paper presents a control design algorithm for determining PI-type controllers satisfying specifications on gain margin, phase margin, and an upper bound on the (complementary) sensitivity for a finite set of plants. Important properties of the algorithm are: (i) it can be applied to plants of any order including plants with delay, unstable plants, and plants given by measured data, (ii) it...

Unified LMI-based design of ΔΣmodulators

Optimal finite impulse response (FIR) error feedback filters for noise shaping in modulators are designed by using weighting functions based on the system norms. We minimize the weighted norms of the quantization error in the output of a modulator, which corresponds to the minimization of the system norm. Three norms, the H2 system norm, the H∞ system norm, and the l1 norm of the impulse respon...

Fuzzy Control Systems: LMI-Based Design

This chapter describes widespread methods of model-based fuzzy control systems. The subject of this chapter is a systematic framework for the stability and design of nonlinear fuzzy control systems. We are trying to build a bridge between conventional fuzzy control and classic control theory. By building this bridge, the strong well developed tools of classic control could be used in model-base...
